Welcome to the Recipe Round Up
at Black Island
Of course the fishing is fabulous, the hunting is outstanding, and the wildlife watching is out of this world, but at the end of the day, for many guests on Black Island, it's all about the food.......
Whether it's scrumptions morning waffles or delightful dinners, there are few guests that show up late to the table at Black Island.
We thought it'd be fun to share a few of our favorite recipes that you can make at home.
Our first offering to kick off 2010 is Shrimp Supreme from our friend and annual guest Linda Resch.
Yup, she can fish and she's a pretty mean cook too!
Give the recipe a try and tell us if you think it's a "keeper" too.
Spring is finally showing up and we thought it'd be a good time to share one of our favorite dip recipes.
Whip up a batch and enjoy it on the deck or patio with a glass of wine or a mug of beer
(even if you have to wear a jacket and boots)
Who doesn't see rhubarb as one of the first signs of spring? Here's a new twist on an old favorite:
Spring is turning into Summer but there are still some rainy/ chilly/ windy days that make the idea of grilling or a big salad not quite the right thing. Give Parmesan Chicken with Dijon Honey Cream Sauce a try and you won't mind missing grilling at all. Try it served on a bed of Uncle Ben's white & wild rice. Linda, our intrepid recipe tester says the sauce is mighty tasty on grilled pork loin too! Give it a try and let us know what you think.
Please if you'd like to see any of your favorites posted on the site.
