GUIDES: Guides are available for fishing at $230 per 2 people per day and for hunting at $295. We have a limited number of guides on staff, so we storongly recommend that arrangements for guides be made at the time of your reservation.
BOATS: Lund boats are used exclusively at Black Island. 18 ft. Lund Alaskans are outfitted with 50 hp motors, electric start, LCD fish locator, pedestal seats and electric trolling motor.
ARRIVAL AND DEPARTURE: We have no fixed arrival or departure days and the minimum length of your stay is three days. You are welcome to reserve the days that best fit your schedule. Check-in time is after 10:00 a.m. and check-out is after breakfast and prior to 9:00 a.m.
DIRECTIONS TO BLACK ISLAND RESORT: Crossing at Baudette/Rainy River go east on Hwy. 11 to 621. Turn north on 621 to Pier North, about 45 minutes. Via International Falls/Fort Francis; Take Hwy. 11 west to Hwy. 621 (about 1 hour), turn north on 621 to Pier North (about 1/2 hour). Please call us after crossing the border, whichever route you take.
RESERVATIONS: RESERVATIONS:A deposit of $300.00 per person for fishing and 50% of the package price for hunting, by cash or check is required to hold your reservation. Confirmation will be made by return mail after receipt of the deposit. Deposits are not refundable but are transferable to others for the time reserved. Final payment for the number of guests, days, rentals and services reserved with your deposit is due 30 days prior to arrival. Cash, traveler's checks or personal checks are accepted.
